Mirage Plains is an aggregation of six properties totalling 43,000 hectares on the Warrego River, Cunnamulla, south-west Queensland. The properties are prime organic farming and livestock land situated on a natural floodplain, with deep alluvial soils, and secure water allocations.
Mirage Plains’ grain production is supplied to Inglewood Farms to support its organic poultry production operations.
It addition to its grain production, Mirage Plains also produces beef, has the potential to produce organic lamb, and hosts biofuel trial plantations. This core feature of the property’s unique model will enable RMWAH to fatten stock on summer grown green pastures for the premium organic market, and enhance the property’s soil sustainability through green legume crops (leys) and ruminant deposits.
